Resumo: The act of producing journalism is in constant change and those transformations are optimized by the information and communication technologies. This way, the current networking society that lives the convergence of culture modifies their consumption and content production habits. This scenario acted as a starting point of this research, generating in us the restlessness of comprehending how the journalistic production on the web occurs and what is the relation that these journalistic products have with the current genres and formats classifications. For this, we used the theory based on data as theoretical-methodological paradigm, once it allowed us to have freedom and direction to the comprehension of the journalistic practice developed in the ten main webjournals in the country: Folha de S. Paulo, Estadão, Gazeta, Zero Hora, O Globo, BuzzFeed, Vice, HuffPost Brasil, Nexo e Agência Pública. 232 texts were analyzed under the light of an analysis file created on the basis of Palácios (2015) and Canavilhas (2010), which generated a database with over eight thousand data. This process constituted the macro analysis and from the differentiated data, from the developed notes in the field diary and from the use of structured interviews, the microanalysis was developed. From the exposed proceedings above it was identified that there is a predominance of the hegemonic formats and genres in the production of hard news. However, we concluded that there is a tendency in the use of new technical resources: illustration, gamification, animation, among others. And, also, we identified that the formats in web journalism act with fluidity between the journalistic genres, sometimes serving as a complement or sometimes being the absolute conductors of the genres.
