The weekly paper Folhetim, from Folha de S. Paulo newspaper was published between 1977 and 1989. It has three distinct fases, characterized for its likeness with alternative press (in the period of 1977- 1979), for the opening of spaces to discussion about retaking democracy, of social themes and for the approach with universities (1979 - 1982) and for the publication of highly specialized essays (1982- 1989). The intent is analyzing the established factors of these editorial reorientations of Folhetim, like the influence of newspaper market, the process of political opening and the renovation produced at Folha since 1974.(AU)
