Resumo: IT Governance has grown to be more critical in the Brazilian business atmosphere as a direct result of world changing events such as the fall of the American stock exchange, NASDAQ, the configuration restructure after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 on the United States and the passing of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002. This management model has been adopted by organizations looking for not only obtaining better IT administrative control but also to comply with requirements enforced by legal agencies. Implementing IT Governance is a complex process as the challenge is identifying the best model within the business world.
