Campos Salles was a politician of great importance to Brazil, distinguing himself as one of the most active members of the republican party. At age 26 he began his politics career, being elected Provincial Deputy. In 1898, with 57 years old, he assumed the highest political position of the Nation. This essay intends to analyse the political communication estrategies adopted by him until reaching the Presidency of the Republic, looking to prove the influence of positivism in his path.
