Resumo: The advent of Information Technology generated, in few years of evolution, significant changes to society as a whole. This technological revolution ended up dehumanizing and segregating family, social and work relationships and it applies particularly to the work of professionals of this area. However, its consequences are still not very known. The careers of these professionals are surrounded by pressure caused by constant search of new projects, adaptation of new environments and different organizational cultures and remuneration with deadlines, which requires constant management of their actions. This study had as its aim to identify possible relationships among career commitment, resilience and intention of changing profession among professionals of information technology (IT). Intention of changing profession is the professional s expectation of leaving their current occupation; career commitment is the link held by the employee and their career or profession and resilience can be defined as the ability to positively adapt in various situations. The study included 60 professionals from the area of information technology. The sample is predominantly male (75%), aged between 25 and 60 years old. As for the graduation, the vast majority (61.7%) had college degrees. The operating time of 66.7% of respondents in the IT area is in the range between one and ten years in the profession; these professionals work as autonomous, cooperative or employees in various market segments. The data collection instruments used were the Resilience Assessment Scale (RAS) and the Scale of Commitment to Career
