Resumo: | The dissertation is themed scientific expeditions undertaken by Darcy Ribeiro to Urubu-Kaapor indians when ethnologist of Seção de Estudos - SE – Serviço de Proteção aos Índios - SPI - official indigenous agency of the Brazilian state. With the creation of the SE in the 1940s, there is a paradigm shift in SPI's relationship to indigenous peoples. If at first the relationship was essentially welfare, secondly there is the issue of researchers with academic training and conducting investigations into the various indigenous peoples of Brazil. Between 1949 and 1951, Darcy Ribeiro held two scientific expeditions in order to portray the way of life and the cultural context of the Urubu-Kaapor indians. As a result of these expeditions, textual and iconographic documents were the subject of our research. Themes have been identified that could glimpse the meanings of images and documentary production contexts done. As main results, we highlight aspects of the étnic-cultural diversity of brazilian society pointed out by Darcy Ribeiro, both in his writings as well as in their image production in building cordial identity established through the imaginary bridge composed in its document production: the world of " white "to the indigenous universe. |
