Interação entre habilidades sociais e qualidade de vida em estudantes do ensino técnico

Resumo: The social abilities are behavioral classes which help people to express their wishes, feelings and attitudes properly in their social scope, familiar and professional. The aim of the study was to analyze the interaction in social abilities and the quality of life of students in a Technical School in the state of São Paulo. Cross-sectional descriptive study. There were 226 students from many different courses at a Technical School from a Technical school in the state of São Paulo with students over 18 years old. The used were: “Questionário Sociodemográfico”, “Escala Multidimensional de Expressão Social Parte Motora (EMES-M) e Escala Multidimensional de Expressão Social Parte Cognitiva (EMES-C); e Inventário de Qualidade de Vida - WHOQOL – Bref”. The data were analyzed made through descriptive statistics and students, attendance; correlation tests from Spearman and Mann-Whitney, significance level 0,05. The average age from 29.72 ± 10.44 (from eighteen to 28 years old); the predominant gender was female (68.3%); the marital status was 66.1% single people; 65.65% from the participants refer to good quality of life; the average obtained on the social multidimensional scale cognitive part is under the standard average indicating negative thoughts and in EMES-M, from the twelve factors evaluated, six of them are under the standard average; the correlations between domains of quality of life and domains of life and multidimensional social scale (cognitive part and motor part) are positive and weak in all analyses; there was no significant difference between multidimensional social scale and male and female gender. Conclusion: In this study, there was little correlation between quality of life with factors of social abilities and there was no difference between social abilities and gender.
