Resumo: |
The following undergraduation study aims to point directions in order to support Vetor Brasil’s financial viability. The nonprofit organization develops talents and implements best practices with the Brazilian Government in order to offer public services with quality to the ones who need it the most through its Trainee and Intern Programs. Therefore, this research is focused on analyzing, according to the available literature, which factors may ensure the sustainability in this kind of institution. As following, we have done a benchmarking investigation in Brazil and other countries with the same kind of organizations that have been building similar strategies/projects on developing professionals for the Public Sector. Also, a quantitative survey with trainees and analysts of Public Policies and Governmental Management of São Paulo was applied with the objective to compare what motivates them on choosing for the career at the Public Sector by opting between commissioned jobs or civil service examinations. Afterwards, based on the research results and the perspective through interviews with some public managers, investors and other potential investors we were able to complete the diagnosis in order to find the problem to be solved in this study. So, considering all the research methodology presented above, national and international data and information gathered, and based on the literature of the segment the improvement of management skills that are inherent to the financial sustainability of nonprofit organizations were recommended. At last, the products were developed, as seen on the Term of Reference: to build a primary list of actions with potential to revenue generation; structuring of pilot projects and deals among the next years; roadmap of pilot projects; main KPIs - key performance indicators and 2016 pilot projects to guarantee the organizational viability in the future. With this study, we can infer that financial sustainability is a challenge faced by the nonprofit organizations and high standards of management as well as different sources of funding are the key of success in this field |
