Resumo: |
This work is a study about the relationship between teachers and their students, as we can see it in our schools nowadays, as well as the changes that can occur when using computers in the classroom. At first, we identified the relationahip between teachers and students in our schools as a relation of power. Thus, we explained how we understand the concept of power, how it shows up in the classroom and what its consequences are. Second, we described what we consider to be the ideal school, that is, a school where there is no relation of power, and where teachers and students work together in search of knowledge. Then we did a research about the computer in schools, trying to identify the changes that its usage can provoke in the relationship between teachers and students. So, we studied first the opinions of several specialists for and against its usage in the classroom. After that, we described the different possible usages of the computer in the classroom, trying to identify which changements could be provoked by them. Finally, we described the results of an experiment we did at Instituto de Educação do Rio de Janeiro. We concluded that the usage of computers in the classroom may provoke positive changements in the relationship between teachers and students, breaking, more or less strongly according to its usage, the power relation that exista in our schools. we concluded that the preparation of the professionals that are going to use computers in the classroom is extremely important, not only in what refers to the technical aspects, but principally in the sense of having very clearly in mind what his/her objectives are when making use of computers. |
