Resumo: |
The heat, in the environment where the human being lives or works, is attributed to: physical factors: relation between temperature, radiation, humidity and air movement; human factors: human being as an energy source by means of his metabolism and physical activity. The heat characterized by a determinated environment is a result of interaction of the following variables: system of construction, geographical situation of the physical environment, artificial acclimation, etc.; age, sex, physical capacity, condition of acclimatization, clothing, type, load and regime of work, etc. In the moment, that the person is inserted in a determinated thermal environment, all these factors are going to influence the heat transmission between him and the environment. Claiming of having thermal balance in the hot environment, we find out the need to provide protective measures of the individual and environmental levels, in order to prevail 'confortable' situations, or at least, 'tolerable situations'. According with the definition of the tolerable and confortable thermal conditions, we have to plan work environments, which makes feasible a thermal insulation of external heat and the heat loss from inside to outside. Modifying individual and environmental variables, we will act precisely on transmission ways decreasing the heat quantity produced and/or received by organism and increasing the chances of dissipating it. |
