Resumo: |
This dissertation aims to analyze the resignification of the letter narratives of a northeastern immigrant in the city of São Paulo, in the context of the production, circulation and communicational consumption of two productions by the collective Estopô Balaio - a theatrical show and a short film. We seek to raise the dimensions of these narratives in which the resignifications of both the collective and the immigrant author of the letter, aim to emphasize the singularities of the trajectories experienced by a northeastern immigrant in São Paulo. The theoretical discussion is guided by reflections on the interfaces between communication, cultural and reception studies, migrant subjectivities, female and northeastern migration, narratives and reports of themselves, situated within the framework of the constitution of capitalism and the neoliberal subject. The qualitative research is based on a methodological approach that includes the following procedures: a) bibliographic review; b) documentary survey on the trajectory of the Estopô Balaio collective, of the letters of immigrants belonging to the collective's collection and of the collective's productions on the letter of the northeastern immigrant - a theatrical spectacle and a short film c) observation of two theatrical spectacle that had as their theme northeastern migration is the main one, namely: Porta(ria) Silêncio and A Invenção do Nordeste d) semi-directed interviews with members of the theater collective and with a northeastern immigrant who authored the letter resignified by the collective. The results of the empirical analysis point to three dimensions of the letter's narratives about the trajectory of a northeastern immigrant woman in São Paulo that appear resignified, in a different way, by the collective's communicational productions - theatrical spectacle and short film - and also by the letter of the immigrant author that participates in these productions: gender violence, xenophobia and the immigrant’s individual discourse of overcoming. |
