Resumo: |
This research aims to investigate the application of Game Theory in Professional Education to the development of competence in strategic decision-making and seeks to understand students engagement in integrative project disciplines. Interviews, focus groups and experimental practice were used as scientific techniques. For the creation of the product, we used Design Science Research, a research method to support artifact projects and problem solving. The result originated a visual model to be used as a decision-making aid and information management tool and a method called Decision Thinking, a structured cognitive internalization of game-based concepts for choosing between alternatives. This study was pertinent to the research line of Experience Design and Innovation Strategies since creativity was a constant element in all stages of production. The basis of economics was addressed by Game Theory, the process of teaching and learning in education, design as a practice of research and construction, games in their interactive characteristics and the professional skills so necessary for individual performance in the labor market. Model and method products can be applied in classrooms to Professional Education courses allowing those who use them to become people with the full conscience to make their choices in a qualified manner with more assertive organization, analysis and decisions |
