This work is a research carried out within the scope of a Master's Program in Teaching Science and Mathematics in the city of São Paulo/ SP. The objective was to present a synthetically an investigation on the official curricular documents and selected textbooks on the teaching of Financial Education in the school curriculum of Basic education. To achieve achieve this objective, a qualitative investigation was carried out using the document analysis method, using the National Curricular Parameters, and the National Curricular Common Base, the state and municipal curricular of São Paulo as a research base, in addition to studies of textbooks, with one needs to know the references to Financial Education in the school environment.
