Resumo: The general objective of this dissertation was to analyze the extent to which the normative guidelines on the labour relationship of employer-employee, transmitted to for-profit organizations, present in both the official religious discourse of the Roman Catholic Church and in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, align with the work logic of the capitalism management. Its specific objectives had the purpose to describe and compare these guidelines in order to identify differences and similarities. For the collect and data analysis were selected 18 catholic documents and 22 adventist documents and semi-structured interviews were conducted based on a script with two religious representatives. Also for the data analysis were performed content analysis by thematic and discourse categories. This study was justified by increasing knowledge of the administration area, generating information for a critical understanding in the research line of organizational studies; perform analysis of organizations from the religious perspective utilized by Weber; increase the number of academic researches about administration through the religious perspective and by innovating in the Brazilian research field for administration and religion, analyzing the official religious discourse about labour relationship transmitted by two different religions with a significant number of faithful who had not yet been compared in studies of this area. It is concluded through this study that there are historical evidences showing the instrumentalization of both the catholic and Adventist religions by their respective religious organizations and the alignment between work and religion in the European, North-American and Brazilian contexts. It was identified that there are more differences than similarities among the speeches; besides that, it was noted that both are conformists, go against the importance of the work emphasized by Marx and contribute to the managerial practice of for-profit organizations through the way they provide guidance to employers and employees on the meaning of work, behavior at work, work division, management participation, performance and quality of life in the labour relationship between of employer-employee.
