Resumo: | This thesis presents a state-of-the-art study on Brazilian research in teaching chemistry for the visually impaired published in the dissertation and thesis database of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) and in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations in the period from 2000 to 2019. The objectives of this study were to identify and analyze the contributions of the Fundamentals of Defectology and Vigotski's Historical-Cultural Theory in these researches. The methodology used was that of a qualitative approach and because it is a mapping, the analysis of the productions was carried out using the criteria presented by Fiorentini et al. (2016). 26 researches were found (3 theses and 23 dissertations). The result of this mapping showed as contributions from Defectology and Historical Cultural Theory that the authors understood that there is no difference in the cognitive process of a visually impaired student and a visionary student; that from the mediation of the teacher, the visually impaired student is able to participate in the teaching and learning process like the visionaries; that the use of alternative means is essential to assist in the construction of the knowledge of the visually impaired student. |
