Based on the presuppositions of French Semiotics, this research analyses Uma História de Amor e Fúria (2013), directed by the awarded Luiz Bolognesi.The text is constituted by micro narratives which take place among the years 1556 and 2096, recreating myths that are related to the Brazilian culture. The main couple is the same in all the stories, but the male actor receives different anthroponyms in each one. The couple live love stories, and they fight against the social unfair situations in every moment of the Brazilian history in which the micronarratives happen. Our aim is to analyze the construction of the male character, who reports his own story, and a female character whose anthroponym is Janaína, observing their actantial, thematic and pathemic roles. They experiment the passions of love and anger and they reveal themselves obstinate once they don’t give up fighting for their ideals related to the social justice. Each main character of the micronarratives reveals their behaviors, habits, realizing ways of life in each moment in which the stories are anchored. These ways of life are also analysis object of this work. It was observed, as a result of this research, that the individual fights of the main characters represent collective values that are related to the Brazilian people history, in their obstinate fight for freedom.
