Resumo: This research seeks to reflect on the existence of a similarity in the narrative structure of the films on real air accidents. In order to find this similarity, we first investigated 130 works of audiovisual productions, mostly in North, South and part of Europe, contemplating the different media: cinema, television and DVDs. The analyzed productions dealt with real air accidents , and some fictitious works. We found that the vast majority of works have similar narrative blocks in the presentation of events, which we call moments, even if they were created for different media. The universe of films found, in all media related to the theme, presented a significant sample to perform a consistent analysis through a form with the propositions of narrative structure suggested in the works. The research organized the productions in a clear, but not definitive, classification. This decision made it easier to compare the selected works. Finally, we analyzed the surviving films of the Andes (1976), René Cardona, Vivos (1993), Frank Marshall, The Society of the Snow (2007), Gozanlo Arijón, and I Am Alive: Survived the air crash in the Cordillera of the Andes in October 1972, with 16 survivors who resorted to cannibalism to survive.
