Resumo: This dissertation is a study on Inclusive Education policy in Higher Education in the South Region of Santa Catarina. The research had that understand the public policy of inclusive education for higher education in Brazil, and its incorporation by the Institutions of Higher Education of the Southern Region of Santa Catarina. So, we seek to understand how and in what way the inclusion of these people is in the sectors, structural and educational infrastructure in the institutions. It was a study of empirical-documental nature, in which we analyzed the Pedagogical Political Project and the Institutional Policy Project of three institutions - the University of Southern Santa Catarina, University Center Belly Green and University of far South of Santa Catarina. Then questionnaires were applied with representatives of the sectors of infrastructure and teaching of each institution. With this study, it was concluded that directly or indirectly all institutions looking to work inclusive education. Still it is known nowadays many are the barriers encountered for inclusive education becomes effective. These barriers with regard to lack of infrastructure and lack of teaching aids among many other research commented above. What in a way not done in different institutions we studied. Many issues such as lack of funds and the lack of interest that often goes unnoticed by the institutions emerge on inclusive education in higher education, however, warned that without involvement, without the watchful eye and want inclusive education becomes effective Universities and the commitment to train skilled professionals to meet the social demands and respect for differences will not have cultural changes in the concepts and practices historically developed in higher education. It is seen that there are differences between the inclusive look of the institutions, this we believe that inclusion is one and the way forward is to get there too, so the search for inclusion to be constant with all involved. The findings of this study reinforce the struggle for inclusive institutions requires concrete changes in the context of the wider interpersonal and social relations, and in the process of decision-making, so that there may be democratic institutions is necessary effort and effective participation of all stakeholders in the community university.
