The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina - IFSC, as well as other higher education institutions in Brazil, has presented in recent years an increase in the number of vacancies offered. However, in spite of a quality public education, many students end up not remaining in the course. The objective of the present work is to structure a model of evaluation of students’ permanence in undergraduate courses at IFSC - Campus Florianópolis, based on the Multicriteria Constructivist Decision Support (MCDA-C) methodology. This is a case study with inductive approach and qualitative methodological choice, involving primary and secondary data collection. Primary data were collected in the MCDA-C Methodology Structuring Phase through semi-structured interviews, and secondary bibliographic data were collected using the Knowledge Development Process-Constructivist mapping and analysis tool ( ProKnow-C). The selection process of the Bibliographic Portfolio (PB), elaborated through Proknow-C, found 34 articles, for which bibliometric analysis was performed. The following results stand out: (i) the bibliometric analysis identified the most relevant articles, authors and journals for the researched theme, as well as 21 potential aspects (indicators) considered by the authors of the BP; (ii) the model presents the identification of five strategic objectives that represent the decision maker's concerns on the theme, called Fundamental Points of View (PVFs); (iii) the construction of 58 descriptors to disclose the performance profile of the strategic objectives, of which 27 presented compromising performance, 28 at market level and 03 at excellence level; (iv) proposals for improvement actions were made for the 5 descriptors with compromising level. Finally, the constructed model allows the decision maker to be supported in the adoption of strategies that ensure the students’ permanence in the undergraduate courses of IFSC - Campus Florianópolis. |
