Resumo: In the organizational context the quality of life is an admittedly highly relevant issue, directly interfering with the performance of workers. In this context, this study sought to analyze the promotion of the quality of life of teachers of a primary and secondary education institution can constitute the competitive strategic differential. Therefore, it has as general objective to analyze the promotion of the Quality of life of the teachers of a primary and secondary school as a competitive strategic differential. This is a qualitative, descriptive, explanatory study, in the form of a case study, with an interview of 22 teachers from elementary and high school, 3 Managers, used content analysis. The results present the meanings of being a teacher: the reports point out that it is a difficult profession, since it needs permanent dedication, preparation and research. Health and well-being: the demands and conditions of voice use must be considered. Resistance and enhancement are considered a condition for vocal health. What's more, in an effort to avoid a sedentary lifestyle, teachers try to compensate for the lack of regular exercise by practicing any other sports activity during the week. Safety: Wage is a motivating factor. It is closely linked to the satisfaction of needs. Also, the strategies used as compensation as a motivational factor, working conditions, legal support, social integration and employment opportunities, becomes a competitive differential. It was verified that it is important for the school to align its quality of life management strategies to better satisfy the teachers' quality of life, since it integrates and interacts with the interests of teachers and school through: motivation, stimulation, infrastructure, security, recognition, among others, guarantee synergy and engagement of teachers with the school. Within the limitation, it was not possible to interview the nursery school teachers of the school, who are not part of the primary and secondary education unit. For future writing, case studies are suggested in public schools, so that the quality of life of teachers in the public network can be verified, making it possible to evaluate the relationship and dimensions developed in the quality of life direction of teachers public.
