Resumo: |
The popular knowledge of artisanal fishermen is rich, dynamic, a way of composing different life under very peculiar relationship with the natural environment. Area Imarui/SC, over the years, the artisanal fisherman was being placed in the margins of public policies, especially in the economic and cultural context, and the school can stand out as a place of possible perpetuation and dissemination of knowledge related to the popular cultural identity of these communities. Over six months, diagnostics and constructive intervention process were performed by the students, teachers and administrators in the School of Basic Education Eulina Heleodoro Barreto aiming to instigate processes sensitizers with the school community to value the popular knowledge related to artisanal fisheries with a view to stimulating the context of such knowledge to the educational process. We used a methodological hybridity involving participation research, ethnoecology and study of the environment, anchored in phenomenology, directing the actions that were performed during diagnostic and interventional construction of the six meetings. Besides raising awareness of the importance of knowledge related to artisanal fisheries, much broader discussions, especially those related to recognition of participants as belonging to their communities, the concepts of culture and local culture subjects occurred, as well as matters relating to critical reflection about being and the world, under the responsibility and care. However, due to various factors, teachers and administrators attended the meetings sporadically, thus incorporating the educational process of knowledge related to fishing did not occur satisfactorily. However, several strategies/tactics that promoted interventional constructive discussion and awareness for the development of artisanal fisheries in the school environment were used. We therefore recommend that the working conditions of these subjects, a greater awareness of the whole school community, thus focusing on the effective incorporation of such knowledge to the educational process , occurring a formative action of longer duration, with teachers and administrators, adequate ( actors ), thereby encouraging greater involvement of the whole school.
