Achoimre: | This Course Completion Work in History aims to carry out an analysis of the main representations of sociocultural aspects present in the cartoon Irmão do Jorel in the context of the 1980s and 1990s in Brazil. The analysis will be developed using a specific methodology, semiotics, in its aspects of representation and meaning articulated with historiography and the main representations constituted in the period in question. Throughout the research, we will also discuss the importance of using audiovisual sources in historiography, given their constant growth in the media and in the modern world. As a result, it was concluded that Irmão do Jorel has great informative, educational and historical potential by building relationships with events that occurred at the end of the 20th century. |
