Gaia: | This work aims to investigate and compare the difference between SDN (Software Defined Network) and IP (Internet Protocol) network architectures. It seeks alternative networks and architectures to current ones, which could be used not only by the scientific community but also by the general population. Tests and comparisons were carried out between the two networks, as well as a more detailed view of the operation of an SDN network and the OpenFlow communication protocol. It was concluded that SDN networks, due to their performance and scalability, have better performance than current IP networks. |

Buscando por redes e arquiteturas alternativas às atuais, que possam vir a ser usados não apenas pela comunidade científica mas pela população em geral. Foram realizados testes e comparações entre as duas redes assim como uma visão mais detalhada do funcionamento de um rede SDN e do protocolo de comunicação OpenFLow.
