Shrnutí: | The present work presents the Groaíras kingship as a manifestation of popular culture that has survived the time and action of modern society through orality, since no official written record of this cultural expression was found until 2018, despite of the various editions of reisado existing in the history of the municipality. The purpose of this paper is to try to identify, approximately, since when the reisado arose in the city, seeking a reconstruction of the historical path to the present day and pointing out its difficulties to maintain itself as a surviving folk culture. |
