Tóm tắt: | Medicine is a basic, strategic input and supports health actions, the lack of which can mean constant interruptions in treatment, which affects the quality of life of users and the credibility of pharmaceutical services and the health system as a whole. It is known that the acquisition of medicines is one of the main activities of Pharmaceutical Assistance Management and requires qualified personnel and an adequate minimum structure, as it can contribute decisively to improving access. The present study proposes to analyze the organization and structuring of Pharmaceutical Assistance in the municipalities of the State of Amazonas, seeking, mainly, to understand as faithfully as possible the reality in the municipalities researched, having as a privileged source the speech of municipal managers of Pharmaceutical Assistance, which we consider to be the main actors of this activity. The study was formatted based on a telephone survey carried out by the Department of Primary Care of the Ministry of Health. The analysis used a sample composed of 54 of the 62 municipalities in the State of Amazonas and was carried out from March to December 2007, through a semi-structured questionnaire, covering the organization, structuring and operationalization of the Pharmaceutical Assistance Cycle. What motivated this research was the collection of subsidies to strengthen the municipal management of Pharmaceutical Assistance in the State of Amazonas. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented through tables and graphs. The results obtained, in this first diagnosis, point to the need for investments in the physical structure, human resources, material and management resources, aiming to provide the municipalities of the State of Amazonas with Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Assistance, capable of promoting access and rational use of medicines. . |

Sabe-se que a aquisição de medicamentos é uma das principais atividades da Gestão da Assistência Farmacêutica e necessita de pessoal qualificado e estrutura mínima adequada, pois pode contribuir decisivamente na melhoria do acesso. O presente estudo propõe analisar a organização e estruturação da Assistência Farmacêutica nos municípios do Estado do Amazonas, buscando, principalmente, apreender o mais fielmente possível a realidade nos municípios pesquisados, tendo como fonte privilegiada a fala dos gestores municipais da Assistência Farmacêutica, que consideramos os atores principais dessa atividade. O estudo foi formatado a partir de uma pesquisa telefônica realizada pelo Departamento de Atenção Básica do Ministério da Saúde. A análise utilizou uma amostra composta por 54 dos 62 municípios do Estado do Amazonas e foi realizada de março a dezembro de 2007, por meio de um questionário semi-estruturado, versando sobre a organização, estruturação e operacionalização do Ciclo da Assistência Farmacêutica. O que motivou a realização desta pesquisa foi a coleta de subsídios para o fortalecimento da gestão municipal da Assistência Farmacêutica no Estado do Amazonas. Os dados foram analisados de forma descritiva e apresentados através de tabelas e gráficos.
