O ensino de estatística e as tecnologias móveis: aplicativos como apoio metodológico ao ensino e aprendizagem

Technology plays an important role in contemporary society, when related as a helping tool, it makes everyday life easier and more complete. Nowadays, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are inserted in the most diverse areas of knowledge, including education. There are authors who emphasize that the use of applications for Smartphones and Tablets, has educational potentialities for several areas, among them is the Teaching of Statistics. However, the use of these technologies requires educators to have in-depth knowledge to use them properly, providing their students with meaningful learning in relation to their objects and objectives for teaching. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze applications with potential for teaching Statistics for Basic Education, raising information on relevant aspects for their use in education such as: technical (documentation, functionality and functional adequacy) and pedagogical (learning, content and interactivity), which could contribute to the teaching of Statistics. Five (5) applications that can be purchased free of charge through the Play Store and with Portuguese language were analyzed. Firstly, a search was made on the Play Store website in search of statistical applications with the inductive word “Teaching Statistics”. After selecting the 5 (five) applications, an individual analysis of each application was carried out according to the aspects mentioned and finally a general synthesis is presented. After the analysis it was found that the applications have educational purposes, however they are not exclusively for education, considering that some aspects were not covered in this analysis and because all 5 applications have functions similar to the statistical calculator that only perform calculations and show the results, without explanatory content or concepts.
