Given the growing expansion of the Brazilian agroindustrial sector, the demand for efficient storage structures has intensified, requiring viable and safe solutions. Among these, metal silos for grain storage stand out, which, to adequately meet demand with efficiency and durability, require a structurally designed, planned, and executed foundation. In this context, the present study aimed to report the monitoring of the design and construction stages of the foundations of a grain storage silo, built by an agroindustrial cooperative in the municipality of Cândido de Abreu, PR. Throughout the process, the technical and economic criteria that supported the choice of the adopted foundation type were presented and discussed, including the experience history of the responsible company. The geotechnical investigation, essential for understanding the subsoil and for defining parameters critical to the design, was also addressed. The project adopted mechanically excavated piles with a helical auger, defining five classes of piles with diameters ranging from 30 cm to 50 cm and a length of 10 m. The load capacity was evaluated using the Aoki-Velloso and Décourt-Quaresma methodologies, and settlement was assessed through results obtained from static load tests on the piles. Finally, the construction stages of the work were monitored, during which the previously studied concepts, criteria, and methods were applied. Thus, the agroindustrial cooperative referenced in this study ensured that its grain receipt and storage were not compromised, but safely accommodated.
