The purpose of this final year course work is to give support to the development of an architectural project for a Daycare Centre for the Third Age through the analyses of the ageing process in its various contexts. The main intention is to contribute to meet the user’s needs for spaces that are suitable to host the elderly during the day, or for a few days, while their families are busy with work or other activities. Or even to participate on several options that will contribute for selfbeing. For the develpment of this work were used methodologies such as bibliography research, for the literature review, study of correlated cases and interpretation of the reality in Curitiba. These findings were then used to develop the guidelines of a basic needs‘ programm for the Daycare Centre for the Third Age.
