With the market becoming more globalized, companies need to seek adaptations to remain at a competitive level, these adaptations can be in the economic sphere, with cost and waste reductions, as well as in the midst of innovation, with new technologies and tools. Aiming at these two aspects, the following study implements the Single Minute Exchanges of Die in order to seek a reduction in setup time and, consequently, reduction of waste and increase in the productive capacity of the factory. In order to carry out the case study, all data collection was carried out on the spot, taking the time of the procedures, taking notes during the activities and, therefore, generating information that would be analyzed and interpreted during the use of the tool. With the application of the tool in the filling line setup process, satisfactory results can be obtained, with a reduction of approximately 1 hour of setup time, in addition to the decrease in the number of activities performed by the employee and a significant reduction in the generation of effluent. during the process carried out in the industry. Therefore, after the completion of the case study and with the results obtained, it is noticeable the benefits that the use of the Single Minute Exchanges of Die brings to the company, bringing fast and efficient results capable of being noticed in a short period of time.
