Countless public buildings are based on standardized projects, which are based on the similarity of the structures involved, including the foundations, even though they are located in different profiles. These projects raise several questions, both from the engineering team and the public sectors, regarding their technical, budgetary, structural and environmental feasibility. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the technical and budgetary bias through the pre-dimensioning of the foundations of a government school building using standardized proposals for footings and/or piles, considering a case study in the city of Coronel Vivida/PR. The footings were pre-dimensioned by the CEB-70 method and precast piles with capping blocks, by the Aoki-Velloso and Décourt-Quaresma methods. After the pre-dimensioning, the estimated budgets of the respective solutions were obtained through the compositions of the SINAPI Table, where it was possible to observe significant variations between the studied proposals. The analysis of the results made it possible to conclude that the execution by footings results in a cost of R$63,639.80 and by piles R$121,658.33, with footings being 52% more economical.
