The pavements deteriorate with the passing of the years due to the action of the loads of the vehicles, the weather of the place where they are, poorly performed maintenance or even the lack of them. Justified by the lack of pavements in good traffic conditions and the presence of poorly performed repairs, this work aims to perform the lifting of the defects of the flexible pavement, in a visual way, using the Global Gravity Index (IGG) method. Its purpose is to present in a numerical form the current condition of the pavement and classify it according to the obtained values, which vary from zero (great) to One hundred and sixty (terrible). This method evaluates the frequency of defects in the analyzed sections and multiplies them by a specific weighting factor for each type of defect, obtaining its respective Individual Severity Index (IGI), and from its sum, the Global Severity Index was obtained. To relate the defects found, we used the specific standard, which describes all the pathologies of this type of floor. The evaluation for this study was carried out in the Copacabana neighborhood, located in the municipality of Campo Mourão in Paraná, which was divided into thirteen sections that presented pathological manifestations along their extensions. From the survey, we determined the values of the Global Severity Index, of which five fall into the concept of bad, five into the concept of bad, one into the concept of good, and two into the concept of good. Through the analysis of the defects of each section it was possible to arrive at a diagnosis of the current situation of the pavements, where it was verified that in some segments there is a high degree of deterioration, making it necessary to perform maintenance and rehabilitation procedures.
