Resumo: Knitwear companies currently seek to decrease their yarn supplier base in order to maintain the uniformity of the physical characteristics of the knit fabric. This work sought to analyze and identify correlations of the physical characteristics of yarns, raw industries, and paints made from material from different suppliers, which differ statistically or not statistically and representatively for knitwear companies. The result of this study showed that the material of the three suppliers have similar indicators of yarn quality and, consequently, of raw knitwear and ink, and it is, therefore, possible in managerial terms to have the best raw material supply process without altering the quality indicators and uniformity of the mesh. However, considering quality at global levels, wire suppliers need to improve their processes.

Este trabalho buscou analisar e identificar correlações das características físicas de fios, de malhas cruas e tintas confeccionadas com material de diferentes empresas fornecedoras, e o quanto tais características divergem ou não estatisticamente e sua representatividade para as empresas de malharia. O resultado deste estudo mostrou que o material das 3 empresas fornecedoras possuem indicadores semelhantes de qualidade dos fios, e consequentemente, das malhas cruas e tintas, sendo portanto, possível em termos gerenciais, ter o melhor processo de fornecimento de matéria prima sem alteração dos indicadores de qualidade e uniformidade da malha.
