The following work presents the development of a Box Truck (Testing Stand for Electrical and Electronics Components) in the Electrical Englineering Department at Volvo do Brasil. This work has as objective: to develop, to validate and to prove the benefits of performing electrical tests on automotive components in a Box Truck instead os perform them in a physical vehicle. Nowadays, the cost to perform a formal test in physical velhicles at Volvo do Brasil é relatively high, and the development of this Testing Stand allows the reduction of these costs (described on this work body) and a higher facility on performing the test. There are some presented tests which validate the Box Truck, comparing the results of battery consumption test, fpr example, on physical vehicle and on the testing stand, presenting the results that comprove its functionality and reliability on performing electrical tests. On this work, is presented the electronic control units, electrical and electronics components contained in a Volvo truck, as well as its communication forms and vehicle architecture.
