Teacher training policies in the pedagogy course: challenges and perspectives of graduates from a Community Higher Education Institution (2019-2022)

Resumo: The article is the result of a CNPq productivity survey, which has as one of its research sites the Pedagogy course at the University of the West of Santa Catarina (Unoesc). The objective of this project section was to map the graduates of the pedagogy course at the Community Higher Education Institution, in order to assess the working conditions, socioeconomic status and satisfaction of these pedagogues with their (initial) training. This is a qualitative and exploratory research, with subjects who graduated from the Capinzal and Campos Novos campi from 2019 to 2022. Data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire organized using the Likert Scale. The research showed that graduates of the pedagogy course face different challenges in exercising the profession, such as the lack of opportunities, financial devaluation and temporary work hiring. Therefore, it is recommended the implementation of educational policies aimed at hiring teachers recently graduated through public examinations, with employment incentives so that they can continue their studies. The research demonstrated that it is necessary to create policies to encourage the insertion of pedagogues into the world of research, in addition to increasing the salary of these professionals.

El objetivo de esta sección del proyecto fue mapear a los egresados del curso de pedagogia de la Institución Comunitaria de Educación Superior, con el fin de evaluar las condiciones de trabajo, el nivel socioeconómico y la satisfacción de estos pedagogos con su formación (inicial). Se trata de una investigación cualitativa y exploratoria, con sujetos egresados de los campi Capinzal y Campos Novos entre 2019 y 2022. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario semiestructurado organizado mediante la Escala Likert. La investigación mostró que los egresados de la carrera de pedagogía enfrentan diferentes desafíos en el ejercicio de la profesión, como la falta de oportunidades, la devaluación financiera y la contratación laboral temporal. Por lo que se recomienda la implementación de políticas educativas encaminadas a la contratación de docentes recién egresados mediante concursos públicos, con incentivos laborales para que puedan continuar sus estudios. La investigación demostró que es necesario crear políticas para incentivar la inserción de los pedagogos en el mundo de la investigación, además de aumentar el salario de estos profesionales.O artigo é fruto de uma pesquisa de produtividade do CNPq que tem como um dos lócus de investigação o curso de pedagogia da Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina (Unoesc). O objetivo deste recorte do projeto foi mapear os egressos do curso de pedagogia de uma Instituição Comunitária de Educação Superior, de modo a pontuar as condições de trabalho, a condição socioeconômica e a satisfação destes pedagogos com a formação (inicial). Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, tendo como sujeitos os egressos do campi de Capinzal e Campos Novos de 2019 a 2022. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário semiestruturado organizado por meio da Escala Likert. A pesquisa apontou que os egressos do curso de pedagogia enfrentam diferentes desafios para o exercício da profissão, como a falta de oportunidades, desvalorização financeira e contratação temporária de trabalho. Dessa forma, recomenda-se a implementação de políticas educacionais que visem a efetivação de professores recém-formados por concursos públicos, com incentivos trabalhistas para que estes possam continuar os estudos.
