Professional life cycle of Pedagogical Advisors in higher education: an analysis from the configuration of a learning community for the function

Summary: | This article presents the results of empirical research developed in the context of a post-doctorate in University Pedagogy, which had as its object of study the pedagogical advisory service in Brazilian higher education institutions. It seeks to characterize a group that brings together pedagogical advisors from all over Brazil, culminating in the possibility of theorizing the professional life cycle in this service, given that the service has proven to be essential for the review and qualification of transversal pedagogical processes that take place in higher education, endorsing the need to create a theoretical corpus that expands the basis on which the pedagogical advisory service is developed at this level of education. The empirical research was developed between the years 2021 and 2022, based on the application of structured questionnaires to pedagogical advisors belonging to the University Pedagogical Advisory Study Group (GEAPU), which brought together more than 160 pedagogical advisors from institutions across Brazil, at the time of the collection, this group being, therefore, the locus for carrying out the research. The results, analyzed in light of theoretical production in the field of University Pedagogy, allow us to refine the understanding of the position occupied by such a service, both geographically and professionally, leading to an analytical possibility about the life cycle of the work perceived by pedagogical advisors. |

Se busca caracterizar un grupo que reúne asesores pedagógicos de todo Brasil, culminando en la posibilidad de teorizar el ciclo de vida profesional en este servicio, dado que el servicio ha demostrado ser esencial para la revisión y calificación de procesos pedagógicos transversales que toman lugar en la educación superior, refrendando la necesidad de crear un corpus teórico que amplíe las bases sobre las cuales se desarrolla el servicio de asesoría pedagógica en este nivel educacional. La investigación empírica se desarrolló entre los años 2021 y 2022, a partir de la aplicación de cuestionarios estructurados a asesores pedagógicos pertenecientes al Grupo de Estudio de Asesoría Pedagógica Universitaria (GEAPU), que reunió a más de 160 asesores pedagógicos de instituciones de todo Brasil, en el momento de la recolección, siendo este grupo, por tanto, el locus para la realización de la investigación. Los resultados, analizados a la luz de la producción teórica en el campo de la Pedagogía Universitaria, permiten afinar la comprensión de la posición que ocupa tal servicio, tanto geográfica como profesionalmente, conduciendo a una posibilidad analítica sobre el ciclo de vida del trabajo percibido por los asesores pedagógicos.Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa empírica desenvolvida no contexto de um pós-douramento em Pedagogia Universitária, que teve como objeto de estudo o serviço de assessoramento pedagógico em instituições de ensino superior brasileiras. O trabalho busca caracterizar um grupo que congrega assessores pedagógicos de todo o país, culminando com a possibilidade de teorização do ciclo de vida profissional nesse serviço, haja vista que o assessoramento tem se mostrado essencial para a revisão e qualificação de processos pedagógicos transversais que se dão no ensino superior. Além disso, tal modelo referenda a necessidade de se constituir um corpus teórico que amplie a fundamentação – sob a qual se desenvolve o serviço de assessoramento pedagógico nesse nível de ensino. A pesquisa empírica foi desenvolvida entre os anos de 2021 e 2022, a partir da aplicação de questionários estruturados a assessores pedagógicos pertencentes ao Grupo de Estudos em Assessoria Pedagógica Universitária (GEAPU), que congregava mais de 160 assessores de instituições de todo o Brasil, à época da coleta, sendo este grupo, portanto, o locus de realização da pesquisa.
