Summary: In this paper, it was proposed a review of Doctoral dissertations and Master’s theses defended between 1996 and 2015 in the Graduate Programs in Education in Brazil and that considered children as interlocutors in research on gender relations. The aim was to analyze the Brazilian academic production in the field of Education in order to understand the specificities of the investigations on gender, childhood and Early Childhood Education, based on the reading of dissertations and theses defended in the period mentioned. The analysis corpus comprised five Doctoral dissertations and 24 Master’s theses grouped into the following categories: gender pedagogies produced by adults for children; gender relations among children; and lack of adult skills regarding the gender relations experienced by children. The analysis highlighted the main theoretical and methodological currents present in the investigation on the theme, emphasized the similarities and differences in academic production and stressed the recent constitution of a research field in Brazilian Graduate Programs.

El objetivo fue analizar la producción académica brasileña del campo de la Educación para comprender las especificidades de las investigaciones sobre género, infancia y Educación Infantil, a partir de la lectura de tesis y de disertaciones defendidas en el período mencionado. El corpus de análisis comprendió 5 tesis y 24 disertaciones agrupadas en las categorías: pedagogías de género producidas por adultos para los niños; relaciones de género entre los niños; y la falta de preparación de los adultos frente a las relaciones de género vivenciadas por los niños. El análisis destacó las principales corrientes teórico-metodológicas presentes en la investigación sobre la temática, resaltó las aproximaciones y los distanciamientos en la producción académica, y evidenció la constitución reciente de un campo de investigaciones en el Posgrado brasileño.Neste artigo, propôs-se uma revisão das teses e das dissertações defendidas entre 1996 e 2015 nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação no Brasil e que consideraram as crianças interlocutoras em pesquisas sobre relações de gênero. O objetivo consistiu em analisar a produção acadêmica brasileira do campo da Educação com vistas a compreender as especificidades das investigações sobre gênero, infância e Educação Infantil, a partir da leitura de teses e de dissertações defendidas no período mencionado. O corpus de análise compreendeu cinco teses e 24 dissertações agrupadas nas categorias: pedagogias de gênero produzidas por adultos para as crianças; relações de gênero entre as crianças; e falta de traquejo dos adultos frente às relações de gênero vivenciadas pelas crianças.
