The aim of this method is to analyze the transformers of distribution which are burnt due to overload and belong to Distribution dealer, aiming to mitigate the recurrence of burnings at the same installation locations, as well as to prevent a future overloads on the transformers. The objective of this method is the improvement of the identification process of the overloaded transformers, ensuring the assertiveness in its exchange, contributing to the increase of the electric energy distribution quality. The process works of a reverse manner, first analyzing the data from the burnt transformers, issued on the reformative reports, confronting these dates with the dealership database system and, through this exchange of information, raise recidivism points of the burnt transformers due to overload. On these points, a term indicator irreversible tape is inserted in the currently installed transformer tank with the aiming of monitoring and indicating overload of this active, even if the system does not identify the overload itself. These tapes are able to be inserted in any transformer with the aim to observe it is operating above its nominal capacity. This project is providing an avoided cost to the company, relative to the decrease on the burnt of transformers due to overload, as well as the assertiveness on the exchange of the transformers which are overloaded on the network, correction on the registering base of the dealership, and also identification frauds on the electric network of distribution
