Summary: | Learning and Solidarity Service (LSS) are considered as a pedagogical strategy favorable to promote education for citizenship. On this assumption, the article starts with the elements that are the basis of the education for an active citizenship, critical and responsible, focusing mainly on its construction as from the participation. In the second part of the article that presents the preparation, the application and the evaluation of a program of Learning and Solidarity Service (LSS) put into practice in an institute of middle school teaching of the province of Barcelona (Spain). The program designed, applied and evaluated covers a range of activities that put at stake: a) the development of a living awareness of belonging to a community, learning a set of skills and attitudes to participate in it, and b) to facilitate a commitment to improve, promoting a sense of social responsibility; finally, the program fosters the citizen learning bound with the feeling of belonging, the citizen competences and active participation exposed in the first part of the article. |

Partiendo de esta premisa, el artículo se inicia con los elementos que fundamentan la educación para una ciudadanía activa, crítica y responsable, centrándonos –principalmente– en su construcción, a partir de la participación. En la segunda parte del artículo se presenta la elaboración, la aplicación y la evaluación de un programa de Aprendizaje y Servicio Solidario (APS) puesto en práctica en un instituto de educación secundaria de la provincia de Barcelona (España). El programa diseñado, aplicado y evaluado comprende un conjunto de actividades que ponen en juego: a) el desarrollo de una conciencia viva de pertenencia a una comunidad, aprendiendo un conjunto de habilidades y actitudes para participar en ella., y b) facilitar un compromiso para mejorarla promoviendo un sentido de responsabilidad social; en definitiva el programa fomenta los aprendizajes ciudadanos vinculados con el sentimiento de pertenencia, las competencias ciudadanas y la participación activa expuestos en la primera parte del artículo.Aprendizagem e Serviço-Solidário (APS) é considerado uma estratégia pedagógica favorável para promover a educação para a cidadania. Partindo desta premissa, o artigo se inicia com os elementos que fundamentam a educação para uma ciudadanía ativa, crítica e responsável, centrando - principalmente - em sua construção, a partir da participação. Na segunda parte do artigo se apresenta a elaboração, a aplicação e a avaliação de um programa de Aprendizagem e Serviço Solidário (APS) posto em prática em um instituto de ensino médio da provincia de Barcelona (España).
