Summary: The theme of climate change has several ramifications in law, starting with the concepts that involve justice. Along these lines, the objective of this article is to address the meaning of climate justice. The methodology is analytical and qualitative, using literature review methods. The results demonstrate that the origins of climate justice are correlated to environmental justice, therefore, it has four essential aspects for its understanding: distributive justice, procedural justice, justice by recognition, corrective justice, and social justice. The final considerations weave the difficulties for the application of measures that aim at effecting climate justice and draws attention to the challenges that cover the consequences resulting from climate changes.

En esta línea, el objetivo de este artículo es tratar el significado de la justicia climática. La metodología es analítica y cualitativa, utilizando métodos de revisión de la literatura. Los resultados muestran que los orígenes de la justicia climática están correlacionados con la justicia ambiental, presentando así cinco aspectos esenciales para su comprensión: justicia distributiva, justicia procesal, justicia de reconocimiento, justicia correctiva y justicia social. Las consideraciones finales destacan las dificultades para la aplicación de medidas destinadas a aplicar la justicia climática y llaman la atención sobre los desafíos que abarcan las consecuencias derivadas del cambio climático.O tema mudanças climáticas apresenta diversas ramificações no direito, a começar nos conceitos que envolvem a justiça. Nessa linha, o objetivo desse artigo é tratar a acepção de justiça climática. A metodologia é analítica e qualitativa, utilizando-se de métodos de revisão da literatura. Os resultados demonstram que as origens da justiça climática estão correlacionadas à justiça ambiental, sendo assim, apresenta quatro aspectos essenciais para sua compreensão: a justiça distributiva, a justiça processual, a justiça por reconhecimento, justiça corretiva e a justiça social.
