This text is presented as a Course Completion Work, which has as its theme/title concept maps as a strategy for the development of Meaningful Learning in Chemistry. In this work, the results of a research developed with students of the 1st year of High School of a rural public school in the city of Caçapava do Sul/RS are demonstrated. The theoretical framework adopted is supported by the Theory of Meaningful Learning, and derives from the concept maps strategy, developed by Novak based on that theory. The research is qualitative, based on Ludke and André (1986), in which Discursive Textual Analysis was used, according to the principles of Moraes and Galiazzi (2011), for analysis of results. As an instrument for collecting information, conceptual maps were applied, followed by the writing of a logbook. From this research, the difficulties of students in the delivery and production of the proposed activities during remote teaching were evidenced, as well as in meeting all the demands requested by the other disciplines. Even so, it is believed that, if the research were applied in face-to-face teaching, it would have a greater participation on the part of the students, with very enriching data and, therefore, its theme remains as important strategies for planning and interventions.
