Summary: The certification is a form of attest in front of the parties concerned that a particular product meets specific criteria, assisting the consumers to differentiate products greens of convencionais. This work aims to conduct an analysis of the state of Rio Grande do Sul regarding certification of an environmental nature, through of the data survey made available on the internet for their accreditation bodies. The analysis has demonstrated that the three types of certifications studied (environmental management, forest and organic) have representation throughout the state, but at some cases the number is small. lastly, it is observed that the biggest concentration of certified companies are situated the metropolitan region.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma análise do estado do Rio Grande do Sul no tocante as certificações de cunho ambiental, através do levantamento de dados disponibilizados na internet pelos seus organismos de acreditação. A análise demonstrou que os três tipos de certificações estudadas (gestão ambiental, florestal e orgânica) possuem representações em todo o estado, porém em alguns casos, o número é pequeno.
