EDUCATIONAL WORK IN TEACHER EDUCATION: reflections from Supervised Internship

Summary: | The aim of this article is to report and analyze the educational work carried out in a state school in the south of Minas Gerais, as part of the Supervised Internship in a Biological Sciences course. We consider "work" to be the vital activity of human beings, through which men and women transform nature and themselves. We used qualitative research as the basis for our investigation, with reports based on participant observation, taking the experiences lived as the object of study. Supported by Historical-Critical Pedagogy and critical approaches to Supervised Internship in teacher training, we observed and discussed important elements for understanding educational work: the conditions of teaching work; pedagogical practices in the classroom and some of their obstacles; observations of the environment beyond the classroom; a vegetable garden project developed at the school; reflections on the individualization of responsibilities and the challenges for pedagogical practices; and, finally, the Pedagogical Political Project and its articulation with educational work. Based on these discussions, we understand and defend the Supervised Internship as a powerful activity for experiencing and reflecting on educational work, an important moment for building identity, valuing and training teachers as critical intellectuals. |

Consideramos el "trabajo" como la actividad vital del ser humano, a través de la cual hombres y mujeres transforman la naturaleza y a sí mismos. Utilizamos la investigación cualitativa como base de nuestra investigación, con relatos basados en la observación participante, tomando las experiencias vividas como objeto de estudio. Apoyados en la Pedagogía Histórico-Crítica y también en abordajes críticos de las Prácticas Supervisadas en la formación de profesores, observamos y discutimos elementos importantes para la comprensión del trabajo educativo: las condiciones del trabajo docente; las prácticas pedagógicas dentro del aula y algunos de sus obstáculos; las observaciones del ambiente más allá del aula; un proyecto de huerta desarrollado en la escuela; reflexiones sobre la individualización de las responsabilidades y los desafíos para las prácticas pedagógicas; y, finalmente, el Proyecto Político Pedagógico y su articulación con el trabajo educativo. A partir de estas discusiones, entendemos y defendemos la Pasantía Supervisada como una poderosa actividad de vivencia y reflexión sobre el trabajo educativo, un momento importante para la construcción de identidad, valoración y formación de los profesores como intelectuales críticos.Este artigo tem o objetivo de relatar e analisar o trabalho educativo desenvolvido em uma escola estadual do sul de Minas Gerais, no âmbito do Estágio Supervisionado realizado em um curso de Ciências Biológicas. Consideramos “trabalho” como atividade vital do ser humano e que, por meio dele, homens e mulheres transformam a natureza e a si mesmos. Valemo-nos da Pesquisa Qualitativa como fundamento de nossa investigação, com relatos a partir da observação participante, tomando as experiências vivenciadas como objeto de estudo. Amparados pela Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica e também de abordagens críticas sobre o Estágio Supervisionado na formação docente, observamos e discutimos elementos importantes à compreensão do trabalho educativo: as condições do trabalho docente; as práticas pedagógicas dentro de sala de aula e alguns de seus obstáculos; observações do ambiente para além da sala de aula; um projeto de horta desenvolvido na Escola; reflexões sobre a individualização das responsabilidades e os desafios para as práticas pedagógicas; e, finalmente, o Projeto Político Pedagógico e sua articulação com o trabalho educativo.
