TransgenicoAPP: A didactic application to help in classes on the topic of Transgenics

Resumo: | The use of mobile technologies as a tool to disseminate important issues to be discussed in society has been encouraged as an alternative to make the teaching and learning process more dynamic, accessible and modern. Considering this reality, this study aimed to develop a prototype of an application called “TransgenicoAPP” as a support tool for teachers to help teach the topic of Transgenics. The application has the advantage of being used offline, an indispensable factor due to the instability of the internet in the Amazon region. Its layout, simplistic and intuitive, has eight tabs, containing the concept of transgenics; how they are produced; its applicability in the day-to-day; how to identify them; its advantages and disadvantages; its myths and truths; trivia to find out more and complementary videos. The developed application was disclosed to teachers of basic education 2, from schools in the city of Marabá-PA, with the intention of being evaluated by these professionals. The analysis of the assessments carried out by the professors showed great acceptance by them, due to the ease of use, richness of content and integrated technical knowledge. They considered it to be an excellent aid in teaching this topic and highlighted the possibility of using the application in their future classes. |

El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad elaborar un prototipo de una aplicación denominada "TransgenicoAPP" como herramienta de apoyo para el docente que le ayude en la enseñanza del tema de Transgénicos. La aplicación tiene la ventaja de ser utilizada sin conexión, factor indispensable debido a la inestabilidad de internet en la región amazónica. Su diseño, sencillo e intuitivo, tiene ocho pestañas. La aplicación desarrollada fue divulgada a docentes de educación básica 2, de escuelas del municipio de Marabá-PA. Los análisis mostraron una gran aceptación por parte de los docentes, debido a la facilidad de uso, la riqueza de contenidos y el conocimiento técnico integrado. Consideraron que es una excelente ayuda para la enseñanza de este tema y destacaron la posibilidad de utilizar la aplicación en sus futuras clases.A utilização de Tecnologias móveis como ferramenta difusora de temas importantes a serem discutidos na sociedade tem sido estimulada como uma alternativa para tornar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem mais dinâmico, acessível e moderno. Considerando essa realidade, o presente trabalho teve como finalidade elaborar um protótipo de aplicativo denominado “TransgenicoAPP” como ferramenta de apoio ao professor para auxiliar no ensino do tema Transgênicos. O aplicativo tem a vantagem de ser utilizado em modo offline, fator indispensável devido à instabilidade de internet na região da Amazônia. Seu Layout, simplista e intuitivo, conta com oito abas, contendo o conceito de transgênicos; como são produzidos; sua aplicabilidade no dia-a-dia; como identificá-los; suas vantagens e desvantagens; seus mitos e verdades; curiosidades para saber mais e vídeos complementares. O aplicativo desenvolvido foi divulgado para os professores da educação básica 2, das escolas do município de Marabá-PA, com o intuito de ser avaliado por estes profissionais. As análises das avaliações realizadas pelos docentes mostraram grande aceitação por parte deles, devido à facilidade de uso, riqueza de conteúdo e conhecimentos técnicos integrados.
