MATHEMATICAL TEACHING IN ESCOLA NORMAL DE CAETITÉ-BAHIA (1926-1961): SOME TEXTBOOKS

Summary: | In this article, one presents a brief historical overview of the results of the master's research that proposed to study knowledge in the mathematical formation of students of Escola Normal de Caetité-Bahia (1926-1961). This time frame refers to the period of existence of that school. This is a historical research from the perspective of cultural history according to Roger Chartier, and the analyses incorporate discussions by theorists who approach concepts of School Culture (Dominique Julia) and knowledge to teach and knowledge for teaching (Rita Hofstetter and Bernard Schneuwly). In this context, one observed that the internalization of the offer of teachers formation course, through the creation of Escolas Normais in the State of Bahia, has made possible for the city of Caetité to host a teaching unit in this modality. And, having as interest to investigate how the formation processes in the scope of mathematics happened, it is that, through the mathematics textbooks used in this institution, one observed that knowledge related to algebra, geometry, statistics, and, mainly, arithmetic, as well as knowledge about the intuitive method, new school and traditional mathematics teaching were contemplated to some extent. |

El marco temporal es referente el periodo de su funcionamiento. Tratase de un análisis en la perspectiva de la História Cultural basado en los trabajos de Roger Chartier, en las reflexiones respecto el concepto de cultura escolar (Dominique Julia) y saberes a enseñar y para ensenãr (Rita Hofstetter e Bernard Schneuwly). El análisis del contexto demonstró que la interiorización de la oferta del curso de formación de profesores a través de la creación de escuelas normales en el Estado da Bahia, generó la oportunidad para el municipio de Caetité tener uma unidad de este nivel de enseñanza. A través de los manuales escolares utilizados en esta eometrían buscamos conocer a los processos formativos en el ámbito de la asignatura de Matemática y constatamos los saberes constituidos sobre contenidos de algebra, eometría, estadística, y, principalmente, aritmética, y que también fueron contemplados saberes acerca del método intuitivo, escuela nueva y enseñanza tradicional de la Matemática.Neste artigo apresentamos um breve panorama histórico dos resultados da pesquisa de mestrado que se propôs estudar saberes na formação matemática dos discentes da Escola Normal de Caetité-Bahia (1926-1961). Este recorte temporal refere-se ao período de funcionamento dessa escola. Trata-se de uma pesquisa histórica na perspectiva da história cultural de acordo com Roger Chartier e as análises incorporam discussões de teóricos que abordam conceitos da Cultura Escolar (Dominique Julia) e saberes a ensinar e para ensinar (Rita Hofstetter e Bernard Schneuwly). Nesse contexto, observamos que a interiorização da oferta do curso de formação de professores, por meio da criação de escolas normais no Estado da Bahia, oportunizou à cidade de Caetité sediar uma unidade de ensino nesta modalidade.
