INDIGENOUS YOUTH RETURNEES: social profiles and social disadvantages

Summary: The objective of this text is to present a socio-statistical photograph of the population of young indigenous people returned from the United States to Mexico. Based on the data analysis offered by the Intercensal Survey of 2015 published by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), data on the total population of young indigenous returnees, the language, the secondment group, the activity condition, among others. To put into perspective the structural conditions of returned indigenous youth, this population is compared with that of young non-migrant Mexicans and young returnees. Among the main findings is that most of the population of young indigenous returnees are men from the state of Oaxaca, it also shows that a significant percentage returns to rural communities and are engaged in activities related to the field and crafts. It concludes with a reflection on the social disadvantages of returning indigenous migrant youth.

A partir del análisis de datos cuantitativos ofrecidos por la Encuesta Intercensal de 2015 publicada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) se exponen datos sobre la población total de jóvenes retornados indígenas, la lengua, el grupo de adscripción, la condición de actividad, entre otros. Para poner en perspectiva las condiciones estructurales de dicha población es comparada con la de los jóvenes mexicanos no migrantes y con la de los jóvenes retornados. Entre los principales hallazgos está que la mayor parte de población de jóvenes indígenas retornados son hombres originarios del estado de Oaxaca, también se muestra que un porcentaje importante regresa a comunidades rurales y se dedican a actividades relacionadas al campo y artesanías. Se concluye con una reflexión sobre las desventajas sociales de la juventud indígena migrante retornada.O objetivo deste texto é apresentar uma fotografia sócio-estatística da população de jovens indígenas retornados dos Estados Unidos para o México. A partir da análise dos dados fornecidos pela Pesquisa intercensitárias 2015 publicado pelo Instituto Nacional de Estatísticas e dados Geografia (INEGI) a população total de jovens repatriados indígenas estão expostos, língua, filiação grupo, status de atividade, entre outros. Para colocar em perspectiva as condições estruturais de retornados jovens indígenas, esta população é comparada com a de jovens mexicanos não migrante eo jovem voltou. Entre as principais conclusões é que a maioria da população indígena dos retornados são homens jovens do estado de Oaxaca, também mostra que uma percentagem significativa retorna para as comunidades rurais e se envolver em atividades de campo e ofícios relacionados.
