O referencial teórico apoiou-se nas idéias de Fonseca (2007), Freire (2007), Ribeiro (2001) e SECAD (2006) quando se tratou sobre o primeiro capítulo – Educação de Jovens e Adultos no Brasil. O segundo capítulo trata sobre a pesquisa epistemológica da sala de aula da EJA – A forma como o ensino-aprendizagem da matemática ocorre na alfabetização de jovens e adultos: matemática em seu cotidiano e matemática escolar – apoiou-se em Bertoni (2007), Carraher & Schiliemann (1988), González Rey (2010), Muniz (2004), Muniz (2009) e Freire (2007). O terceiro e último capítulo – O ensino da matemática na alfabetização de jovens e adultos – tem-se o referencial teórico baseado em Imenes & Lellis (1999), Fonseca (2007), Muniz (2008) e Ribeiro (2001). A pesquisa epistemológica busca responder sobre: quais são as implicações/relações do convívio com a matemática na sistematização do ensino da matemática na alfabetização de jovens e adultos? Pois consideramos que muitos alunos da EJA sentem muita dificuldade com o ensino-aprendizagem da matemática escolar, por essa não se relacionar com a matemática que convivem em seu dia-a-dia. Percebemos, ao longo de nossa pesquisa, que os educandos a todo o momento faziam inferências e referências à suas vidas, à suas relações sociais que vivenciam em seu cotidiano enquanto realizavam alguma questão de matemática, mas que essas inferências e referências não eram, infelizmente, aproveitadas pela professora. Dizemos isso, porque durante as observações que realizamos (no primeiro momento da pesquisa), as atividades que tinham que fazer não os incitava a pensar sobre e a participar daquilo, porque eram infantilizantes, portanto, desvinculadas do contexto de um jovem e de um adulto, ou seja, não alcançavam as expectativas sociais e cognitivas desses sujeitos da educação. Notamos, também, que os educandos se sentiram muito mais desafiados quando propusemos a eles, em duas intervenções pedagógicas, situações-problema retiradas de sua realidade. Esses dois momentos, para nós, foram de extrema valia, pois percebemos o quanto os educandos ficaram a vontade enquanto desenvolviam seu pensamento lógico matemático. Esse trabalho apresentou uma reflexão sobre como é importante que a práxis pedagógica do educador da alfabetização de jovens e adultos deva estar ancorada na vivência dos sujeitos da EJA, para que o ensino da matemática nessa modalidade de ensino promova a inserção dos mesmos nas relações sociais em que a matemática se faz necessária, de modo que se leve em consideração seus conhecimentos prévios adquiridos em sua experiência de vida. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis research is a reflection on how is the teaching of mathematics and literacy of young adults, in view of the importance of teaching and learning a consolidated basis for the significant subject of adult education, these being removed and absorbed his life context. The theoretical framework relied on the ideas of Fonseca (2007), Freire (2007), Ribeiro (2001) and SECAD (2006) when it came on the first chapter - Youth and Adult Education in Brazil. The second chapter deals with the epistemological research in the classroom of adult education - The way teaching and learning of mathematics occurs in youth and adult literacy, mathematics and mathematics in their daily school - relied on Bertoni (2007), Carraher & Schiliemann (1988), González Rey (2010), Muniz (2004), Muniz (2009) and Freire (2007). The third and final chapter - The teaching of mathematics literacy and adult - has been based on the theoretical Imenes & Lellis (1999), Fonseca (2007), Muniz (2008) and Ribeiro (2001). The research seeks to answer on epistemological: what are the implications / relationship being with the mathematical systematization of mathematics teaching in literacy and adult? For many students believe that the EJA feel much difficulty with the teaching and learning of school mathematics, for that does not relate to the mathematics that live in your day-to-day. We noticed, during our research, that students at all times made inferences and references to their lives, the social relations they experience in their daily lives while carrying out any question of mathematics, but these inferences and references were not, unfortunately, exploited by the teacher. We say this because we do during the observations (the first time of the survey), the activities that they do not incite to think about and participate in it, because they were infantilizing, so detached from the context of a young adult, ie, did not reach the expectations of social and cognitive subjects of education. We note also that the students felt more challenged when we proposed to them in two educational interventions, problem situations drawn from their reality. These two moments for us were extremely valuable, because we realize how much the students were at ease while developing their logical thinking math.
