Tendo o Marrocos desempenhado uma série de reformas de liberalização a partir dos anos 1990, onde o empoderamento feminino constitui âmbito importante, esta dissertação pretende mostrar como este passou utilizar a implementação destas reformas no âmbito externo. Dentro desse contexto, utilizar-se-á a Teoria dos Papéis como aporte teórico para identificar de que forma pressões domésticas e internacionais fizeram com que um discurso de política externa baseado em tais políticas tomou forma. Para além disso, serão analisados discursos de líderes marroquinos buscando identificar quais são os padrões que compõem a estratégia de projeção internacional do país e de que forma esta é reconhecida por atores externos. Having developed a series of liberalizing reforms since the 90s where female empowerment comprises an important field, this work aims to show how Morocco has used the implementation of these reforms in foreign affairs. Within this context, Role Theory will be used as a theoretical frame to identify how domestic and international pressures have contributed to shape a discourse of foreign policy based on such policies. In addition, a series of speeches will be analyzed in order to identify the patterns that comprise the country's international projection strategy and how it is recognized by external actors.
