Para agir sobre o mundo surgem então os instrumentos que se colocam entre o trabalho e o objeto de trabalho, tornando a relação homem-meio indireta e mediada. Com o passar do tempo, todo este movimento de criação dá origem à cultura, que pode ser definida como tudo aquilo que o homem cria para satisfazer necessidades criadas. No entanto, não nascemos portadores da cultura, mas candidatos à sua apropriação para nos tornamos humanos, isso só é possível por meio da mediação. A mediação é que dá a possibilidade de transformar as funções externas em internas, e para isso fazemos uso dos instrumentos e dos signos. A utilização dessas duas ferramentas dá início ao desenvolvimento das funções psicológicas superiores, onde temos o controle de comportamento, a capacidade de abstração e generalização. Tudo isso só é possível quando há interação entre aquele que sabe a cultura e aquele que vai aprender, por isso é tão importante ter alguém mais capacitado para instruir alguém que um dia será capaz. No contexto escolar, alunos e professor são capazes, no entanto a maior preparação do professor o torna mais apto, por isso ele deve entender o que é a mediação, qual seu papel neste processo e a importância de conduzi-lo de maneira adequada, onde à medida que os alunos se apropriam do conhecimento vão se tornando humanos e, consequentemente, participantes da sociedade. A partir de pesquisa bibliográfica este trabalho propõe analisar e refletir sobre o conceito de mediação no contexto escolar, sua atuação no processo ensino-aprendizagem e a relação existente entre o professor e a mediação à luz da abordagem histórico-cultural do desenvolvimento humano. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTLeaving the cultural-historical theory of human development, we must work through man is able to act and change the world at the same time that changes. To act upon the world then come the instruments that arise between labor and work object, making indirect and mediated middle-man relationship. Over time, all this movement gives rise to the creation of culture, which can be defined as everything that man creates to meet needs created. However, we are not born bearers of culture, but candidates of its ownership to become human, this is only possible through the mediation. Mediation is that it gives the possibility to transform the external into internal psychological functions, and for this we make use of tools and signs. Using these two tools begins the development of higher psychological functions, where we have control of behavior, the ability of abstraction and generalization. All this is possible only when there is interaction between the one who knows the culture and one that will learn why it is so important to have someone more qualified to instruct someone who will one day be able. In the school context, students and teachers are able, however most teacher preparation makes it more fit, so he should understand what is mediation, what is your role in this process and the importance of driving it properly, where the As students take ownership of knowledge are becoming human and thus participants in society.
