A partir dessa matriz analítica, procede-se à exploração de cada eixo, buscando transitar-se entre os níveis de análise – domésticos, regional e internacional – com vistas a estabelecer elementos comparativos suficientes para o sopesar de cada variável proposta. Identifica-se na ruptura do contrato social árabe, que encontra seu principal alicerce na barganha de centralização política dos governos como contrapartida à expectativa de um estado de bem-estar, como a principal causa direta da Primavera Árabe. Os meios de comunicação exercem função mormente condicional, ao passo que os atores externos e os grupos islamistas atuam predominantemente como catalisadores das manifestações. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis paper proposes a classification of the factors that have originated the Arab Spring into causes, conditions and catalysts, taking a theme-based approach: socio-political issues; economic and demographic trends; the media; external factors; and religion. Using the aforementioned analytical framework, this article proceeds to explore each thematic axis, whilst employing different analytic scopes – domestic, regional and international – in order to establish sufficient comparative data to evaluate the relevance of each variable presented. The author identifies the rupture of the Arab social contract, which is based mainly on the acceptance of welfare states in exchange for strong central governments, as the foremost cause of the Arab Spring.
