A estética atrelada ao desenvolvimento dos materiais restauradores, foi uma delas. Dentre as alternativas restauradoras para a correção de problemas estéticos tanto individuais como generalizados encontram-se as facetas, que podem ser confeccionadas diretas ou indiretamente. A escolha pelo tipo de procedimento, assim como a necessidade de preparo dentário,variam conforme a necessidade clínica e intenção de procedimento. 0 objetivo dessa monografia é apresentar uma revisão de literatura e casos clínicos relacionados às diferenças entre as facetas diretas e indiretas.In the last few decades the dentistry field had gone through a lot of changes. One of them was the esthetic and the restorative materials improvement. The direct and indirect vennersnaves have been an restorative alternative to solve general or individual problems. The procedure choices and the dental needs depends on the clinical requeriments and the procedures intention.
